Jarrad Branthwaite is attracting plenty of interest
Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite is reportedly ‘open’ to leaving the club this summer, amid interest from Manchester United and Tottenham. The defender has enjoyed a sensational breakout season at Goodison Park, with his performances not going unnoticed around Europe.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen to orchestrate a major rebuild of United over the coming months, which could be kickstarted with the sacking of Erik ten Hag after another underwhelming campaign with the ex-Ajax boss in the Old Trafford dugout.
Major changes are anticipated in the dressing room, with the Red Devils keen to inject youthful quality into their ranks whilst also parting ways with those reaching the twilights of their careers, such as Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Raphael Varane.
Signing a top-quality defender is among the biggest priorities for United, and Branthwaite has been widely cited as their top target in that department. The 21-year-old is expected to leave Everton this summer to raise much-needed funds, and he isn’t short of suitors.

According to the Evening Standard, Branthwaite is ‘open’ to the idea of leaving the Toffees, despite having a contract with the Merseyside outfit which runs until 2027.
Everton are looking to raise funds with alternative departures to ensure that they do not have to part ways with their No. 32, though they are said to be willing to entertain offers in the region of £80million.

Jim Ratcliffe ‘launches urgent Man Utd investigation’ as crisis rocks Red Devils
The significant price tag could deter some clubs from attempting to enter negotiations with Everton, but sales could fund the majority of United’s bid. With two of Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof set to be moved on and Mason Greenwood also firmly in the shop window at the Theatre of Dreams, the Red Devils’ transfer budget is set to receive a major boost.
Ratcliffe is also keen to mark his arrival at United with several marquee signings, and therefore striking a deal for one of the most sought-after talents in England would be a major sign of intent from the INEOS chief and his newly-constructed recruitment team. Branthwaite could join a group of very talented youngsters at Carrington that is hoped will develop into being the face of their new project, which includes the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.
