Douglas Luiz and Erik ten Hag.
The opening of the summer transfer window for the Premier League and EFL is now just two days away, and clubs are already finalising deals.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all being linked with big money deals, as they bid to overhaul champions Man City next season. City themselves currently have an ongoing legal case against the Premier League, with the hearing – that began on Monday – expected to last a fortnight.
United have opted to keep faith in manager Erik ten Hag. After months of speculation, it was reported on Tuesday the Dutchman was to be offered a new deal ahead of the 2024/25 season, following a season review by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Transfer activity will be affected for a lot of clubs though due to England’s involvement in Euro 2024. The FA have ruled that players cannot be officially approached while on international duty in Germany.
McTominay backed over Man Utd future
Pat Nevin thinks Premier League clubs will be queuing up for Scott McTominay after Euro 2024.
Nevin told NewBettingOffers.co.uk: “I don’t think Scott McTominay has to worry about his contract next year at Manchester United off the back of the Euros – there are a hell of lot of teams out there that would take him.
“You can imagine him playing at a team like Everton – he could be such a core member of that team. There are plenty of teams throughout the Premier League that would love McTominay.
“I’m sure he’d love to stay at United but he could do with playing at a team that plays him in the right position. I don’t think United played him in his right position for a long, long time and then Steve Clarke played him there and he went on a run of scoring goals.”
West Ham close in on Abraham
West Ham are reportedly posied to sign Tammy Abraham from Roma this summer.
The 26-year-old made just 12 appearances for his Italian club during the 2023/24 campaign due to injury, scoring once.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham are keen to bring him back to the Premier League with the Serie A club prepared to sell him for around £25million.
ICYMI: United lose young star
Former Man Utd winger Omari Forson has completed a move to Italian side Monza.
Forson, 19, was offered a new contract by United in December and was given a first team opportunity by Ten Hag, but announced last month he wanted to leave the club.

Chelsea ‘agree fee’ for Duran
Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement for a fee to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran this summer.
Guillermo Arango of Win Sports TV posted on his X account on Tuesday: “Agreement between Chelsea and Aston Villa for the signing of Jhon Duran. He would arrive for a figure close to £42million. They are negotiating the terms with the player to sign the contract.”
John Duran scored eight times for Aston Villa last season.
Liverpool in ‘bidding war’ for Luiz
Aston Villa will reportedly start a ‘bidding war’ for Douglas Luiz after negotiating the sale of the star to Juventus.
Villa are negotiating a swap deal that will see them receive £16.9million, with Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior comign the other way.
But according to Aston Villa news, Liverpool are also interested in a deal, and want an outright buy for Brazilian.
