With the 2023/24 Premier League season now in the books following yesterday’s final matches of the campaign, attention swiftly turns to the transfer window now that all teams are aware of their situations going into next year, with plans firmly underway in order to bolster their squads.

Chelsea are already getting business done, as they close in on a £52million deal for Brazilian 17-year-old wonderkid Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, beating the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to his signature.

Arsenal are still reeling off another trophyless campaign under Mikel Arteta and will hope to go one further next season, with sporting director Edu looking to land at least a forward and a midfielder to pair with Declan Rice.

Manchester United will say goodbye to a number of stars such as Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial after Saturday’s FA Cup final with neighbours Manchester City, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe keen to make his mark on the Red Devils this summer.

Arne Slot plots Liverpool Chiesa swoop

Incoming Liverpool boss Arne Slot is said to be keen on bringing Juventus forward Federico Chiesa to Anfield.

Tutto Juve claim that Chiesa remains on Liverpool’s radar following long-standing interest in the Italian, after club scouts watched him last week in the Coppa Italia final.

Slot is also a fan of Chiesa, especially his versatility, with the 26-year-old’s contract expiring next year and Juventus willing to listen to offers around £51million.

Manchester United eye Wolves raid

Manchester United are reportedly looking into the possibility of signing Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri this summer amid continued fitness woes for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

French outlet Jeunes Footeux claim that in their hopes of strengthening that side of their defence, United had been keeping tabs on Brest defender Bradley Locko following interest from Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

But their preferred target for that role is Ait-Nouri, who has also attracted interest from Manchester City following a strong season under Gary O’Neil.

However, their decision may depend on budget restrictions as Ait-Nouri would cost considerably more than the £17million price tag on Locko.

West Ham close in on Julen Lopetegui appointment

West Ham are reportedly close to an agreement which would see former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui take over from David Moyes.

Sky Sports claim that the Hammers have reached a full agreement with the Spanish coach.

A formal announcement is expected this week, with an early appointment well-timed in order to progress with their summer transfer plans.

Arsenal to step up Ferdi Kadioglu plans

Arsenal will make a formal approach to Fenerbahce to sign left-back Ferdi Kadioglu next month.

That’s according to Turkish outlet Takvim, who claim that executives will be sent to Istanbul to negotiate a potential £26million deal.

Arsenal are already thought to be in discussions with the player’s entourage over personal terms and once an agreement is reached, the Gunners will then speak directly with Fenerbahce.

Chelsea eye Manchester United hijack

Chelsea are said to be interested in hijacking any Manchester United summer move for Juventus defender Gelson Bremer.

Bremer has been a long-term United target but TuttoJuve claim that Chelsea are now on his trail as Todd Boehly looks to reinforce the Blues’ defence.

Juventus want to keep their star defender but could be forced to reconsider their stance if a bid upwards of £60million arrives.

Real Madrid line up Alexis Mac Allister deal

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in prising away Alexis Mac Allister from Liverpool in 12 months.

Sportitalia claim that the Argentinian midfielder is on Los Blancos’ list of potential targets for 2025, after a productive first season on Merseyside.

He will continue to be monitored next season but Liverpool will be desperate to hold onto their World Cup winner.

Manchester United’s Jarrad Branthwaite swap

Manchester United are among the teams very keen on Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, alongside Manchester City and Tottenham.

Though suitors are baulking at Everton’s asking price of £80million and value the England Under-21 international closer to £50m.

The Daily Mail claim that one way United could bridge that gap is by offering a player in exchange, something they are willing to do to offer Everton a sweetener.
