Express Sport brings you all the latest
With just under two weeks to go until the summer transfer window opens, Premier League clubs are putting the finishing touches on their plans ahead of what promises to be an enthralling few months of business.
Chelsea have already set the wheels in motion for their spending spree under Enzo Maresca, hijacking Newcastle’s move for free agent Tosin Adarabioyo to lure the central defender to Stamford Bridge.
The move for the 26-year-old is likely to prompt the Blues to part ways with at least one of their homegrown stars, which could be music to the ears of Manchester United and Liverpool. United are considering a move for Trevoh Chalobah and will be encouraged by Adarabioyo’s decision to join the Blues, whilst Liverpool are long-term admirers of Levi Colwill.

Dortmund chief casts doubt over Sancho stay
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl is not sure if they will be able to sign Jadon Sancho on a permanent basis.
The winger spent half the season on loan from Manchester United and is widely expected to leave the Red Devils again this summer.
Speaking before last night’s Champions League final, Kehl said: “I don’t know yet, to be honest, because it was great to have him for the last six months.
“He increased our quality in the team and he’s looking forward to the final. He wants to win and everything else will be decided afterwards.
“The situation is pretty clear. He still has a contract at United, we have no buy option meaning we need to discuss and negotiate. I don’t know if that will work.”

Crystal Palace set sights on two Luton players
Crystal Palace are keen to sign Luton Town duo Alfie Doughty and Teden Mengi this summer, according to The Mirror.
The Eagles are said to be planning a raid on Luton following their relegation from the Premier League after just one season.
Doughty impressed at left-back for the Hatters and is thought to be attracting interest from the top flight.
Mengi, meanwhile, was a regular under Rob Edwards last season after joining the club from Manchester United.
Liverpool ‘intensify’ errors to sign £59m midfielder
Liverpool have ‘intensified their contacts’ with FC Porto star Alan Varela in the hope of securing his signature, reports AS.
The Reds are expected to bolster their midfield ranks under Arne Slot and reports have emerged claiming that Varela is among their considerations.
The playmaker currently has a £59million release clause in his contract with Porto, but Liverpool are said to have touched base with Porto to see if there is the opportunity for an agreement to be reached for a lesser fee.
Arsenal plotting double swoop
Arsenal are plotting a double swoop for Croatian pair Lovro Chelfi, 16, and Niko Tomasevic, 17, reports Index.
The Gunners are said to have been heavily scouting the pair and a fee in the region of £3million may be enough to sign the duo from Kustosija.
Both players are described as ‘extremely talented’ and Arsenal are hoping to beat Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign them both.
Mbappe finally ‘signs for Real Madrid’
Kylian Mbappe has signed all of the paperwork to become a Real Madrid player, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The France international will join Los Blancos as a free agent after running down his contract with Paris Saint-German, much to their frustration.
Mbappe ruled in February that he would join Madrid, who have been desperate to acquire his services over the past few years and tabled several enormous bids in an attempt to secure his signature.

Arsenal fringe star attracting Prem interest
Fulham have reportedly made Emile Smith Rowe one of their top targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the Telegraph, the Arsenal midfielder has become a ‘priority’ at Craven Cottage after hardly featuring for the Gunners last season due to injuries.
Smith Rowe came through the Arsenal academy and therefore any fee raised from his departure would represent pure profit on his boyhood side’s balance sheet.
Fulham are said to be leading the race for the versatile playmaker, though suitors from around Europe could also emerge.
Chelsea plotting move for new goalkeeper
Chelsea are considering joining the race to sign Las Palmas star Alvaro Valles, who is attracting interest from top clubs around Europe.
Soon-to-be Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is keen to acquire the services of a new No .1 who is comfortably playing out from the back and would be able to thrive in his possession-based system.
As a result, several options are being assessed by the Blues. According to The Mirror, Las Valles is among those being monitored following an impressive campaign in the La Liga.
Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Valles previously, with a replacement required if Aaron Ramsdale is to be granted his wish of leaving the club permanently this summer. Wolves and Real Betis are also among the Las Palmas academy graduates’ admirers.
Chelsea growing in confidence over first signing of the summer
Chelsea are reportedly set to confirm the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo next week.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues believe that the defender will sign with the club over the coming days now that a verbal agreement is in place.
Newcastle were locked in negotiations with Adarabioyo over the last few weeks, but the centre-back believes that he has now chosen the ‘best project for his future’.

Bayern opt against signing United and Liverpool target
The race to secure the signature of Assan Ouedraogo is back on.
Bayern Munich were closing in on a deal to sign the Schalke teen this summer, but Sky Sports Germany report that the Bavarians have cooled their interest in the last few hours.
Ouedraogo has been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea previously, and the trio of Premier League clubs will be monitoring the situation of the 18-year-old closely now to see if they can pounce.
Arsenal join Liverpool in race to sign Barcelona teen
Arsenal have enquired about the availability of Barcelona prospect Mikayil Faye, reports the Daily Mail.
The versatile defender was expected to be integrated into the first team next season under Xavi, but Barca’s decision to sack the Spaniard has prompted Faye’s suitors to attempt to pounce on the situation.
Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen are all said to be interested in the 19-year-old, with Arsenal now joining the teenager’s growing list of admirers.
A fee in the region of £17million is expected to test the resolve of Barca, though it remains to be seen whether Hansi Flick has long-term plans involving Faye.
Liverpool prospect makes exit plea
Liverpool prospect Sepp van den Berg has revealed that he is keen to leave the club this summer.
The defender enjoyed a very fruitful successful loan spell at Mainz last season and was thought to have earned himself the chance to impress Arne Slot in pre-season as a result.
However, Van den Berg does not appear to have any interest in fighting for a position in Liverpool’s squad anymore. He told De Telegraaf that he is keen to depart the Merseyside outfit this summer and has been left unhappy by Liverpool pricing him at £20million.
He said: “You [Liverpool] didn’t radiate confidence in me all this time, but you do want to hinder my future. I want to keep playing weekly and develop myself further.
“In Germany I enjoy Dortmund-out with 70,000 men, Bayern Munich-out against Harry Kane, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Leverkusen, against those kinds of clubs I am challenged every week.”
Chelsea plot second transfer hijack
Chelsea are plotting a move for Leeds United start Crycensio Summerville, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The winger has been heavily linked with joining Liverpool this summer to work under Arne Slot, but the Blues look set to attempt to hijack that move in the hope of bolstering their options on the right.
Chelsea have already successfully hijacked Newcastle’s move for Tosin Adarabioyo, with his medical at Stamford Bridge now booked, and a move for Summerville would certainly ruffle feathers at Anfield.
Manchester United plot three major transfers
Erik ten Hag has revealed that Manchester United have three main transfer priorities this summer.
After an injury-ridden campaign which saw the Red Devils finish eighth in the Premier League, the Dutchman has called for reinforcements in several different departments.
He said: “We need to get a striker in to work alongside Rasmus Hojlund. I also hope we manage to get another central midfielder and also a replacement for Varane.
“Then I think things will look very good for next season – with the caveat that the players are fit and stay fit. Then you can start playing towards the top four with such an eleven. That gives me hope and is also realistic in my eyes.”
